The new Murray River Bridge links the Sturt Highway near Euston (NSW) and the Murray Valley Highway at Robinvale (Victoria). It assists the movement of traffic between the states, providing a flood-free, two-lane carriageway that crosses the river and its floodplains. Construction work of the creation of the 400m launch bridge and earthworks included two approach bridges, approach roads and landscaping along the roadway’s corridor.
The Robinvale-Euston Bridge Project was funded by the Federal, Victorian and NSW governments, and supported by NSW Roads and the RTA. The bridge opened in 2006, and has significantly improved the freight and public travel between Victoria and New South Wales.
